Cecilia Coppo was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1980. An architect, who graduated from the Universidad de Buenos Aires, and a sculptor, Cecilia has worked with a number of other visual art techniques. Between 1986 and 1998, she studied drawing, engraving and painting in a workshop led by Zulema Petruschansky. From 1998 to 2008 she learned sculpture and metalwork in the workshop of Omar Estela, first as a student, then as an assistant. She currently resides in Malmö, working for KKV, Konstnärernas Kollektiv Verkstad, (Artists Collective Workshop) and in an artistic foundry (Maiale), independently, and in collaboration with other artists. Cecilias work has featured in several solo and group exhibitions in galleries and nontraditional spaces in both Malmo and in Buenos Aires. She is currently working on a project, infinito punto rojo! (the infinite red dot), an urban intervention, in Buenos Aires and Malmö.
